  • Hydro Power Plant Jacobi in Sarmingstein

Hydro Power Plant Jacobi in Sarmingstein

Energy generation is a much discussed topic, but not easily to comprehend, for the most part. Through the architecture of the hydroelectric power plant Jacobi and its integration into the landscape, energy is to be perceived and experienced.

Interrelations become visible by visual relations within the building and from the power station to other surrounding buildings and into the fluvial landscape of the Danube.

This power plant is not only to serve in terms of energy engineering and ecology. The visitors are invited to merge the building and its direct surroundings into their daily radius of action. The open and easily accessible architecture of the power plant turns Jacobi into a stage with multiple recreational uses: a show power station with a view.
