PureAustrianDesign IN THE CITY
The installation PureAustrianDesign IN THE CITY was as an eye-catching landmark in the main court of Vienna's MuseumsQuartier during Vienna Design Week 2008. The oversized bubble, jointly produced by the austrian furniture industry and JULAND BarcelonaVienna, served as a showroom to present furniture design by Austrian companies to the Viennese public.
Embedded in an artificial design skyline of Vienna, current and modern pieces of furniture by Austrian companies are highlighted, turning them into attractive city icons. During the Long Night of the Museums on 4 October, the nearly five meters high illuminated installation became a bright and shining center of attraction in the courtyard between the museums.
