WIEN MUSIC NIGHT at Tokyo Designers' Week![]() The WIEN MUSIC NIGHT officially opened the Tokyo Designers’ Week. The 4-hour soirée with live music and DJ-sets from Vienna introduced VIPs, guests and press in the contemporary world of music and club culture “made in Austria“.
On the main stage of 100% Design Tokyo, Vienna’s Deputy Mayor Renate Brauner together with Minister of environment Sakihito Ozawa had the honour to kick off this year’s Tokyo festival on design and to announce the WIEN MUSIC NIGHT. It kicked off with a 1-hour live-set by the Viennese trio Elektro Guzzi who presented their mix of electronic and live beats, jazz and techno, combining guitars with layers of effects and filters. The show went on at the SPOT ON WIEN outdoor space where the DJs 7 Samurai and BNCKD showed their mixing skills spinning soulful House, Disco and Funk records keeping the crowd in a party mood. Japanese women dressed in traditional “Dirndl” served Austrian wine both inside at the main stage and outside in the likewise crowded SPOT ON WIEN Outdoor Space where the catering delighted visitors and guests with Austrian specialties and products.
